Veterans Day is an official United States holiday that honors people who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, also known as veterans. It is a federal holiday that is observed on November 11. It coincides with other holidays such as Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, which are celebrated in other parts of the world and also mark the anniversary of the end of World War I. Veterans Day is not to be confused with Memorial Day; Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans, while Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving. Bay City Christian School will honor our veterans on Tuesday, November 11 with a special program at 8:45 a.m. in our church auditorium. The students will perform a program in celebration of those who risked their lives in the defense of our freedom.
As others spend time at the mall looking for special sales, our students learn to express their gratitude for their liberties. Veterans, grandparents, parents, home-school families, and friends are invited. Please plan to attend this patriotic and God-honoring service. You will not find a more spiritual and moving Veteran’s Day ceremony in Green Bay!
