Bay City Christian School Students Volunteer for Special Olympics

20140503_085618Middle school and high school students from Bay City Christian School will be volunteering at the Special Olympics Hometown Games in Green Bay this Saturday. This event has been well-attended by our students in the past, and this year is no exception! One student volunteer said “I love helping with Special Olympics! It is so rewarding to see the smiles on the faces of the athletes!”

Community service, and service within the church, is highly emphasized at Bay City Christian School. 1 Peter 4:10 states, “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”  Jesus came not to be served, but to serve. It is that example that we should follow as well.

As Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35).
