Teen Mission Trip Team Departs on June 10th for Wyoming

Look out Wyoming–our church’s teens are coming your way! The team of 26 will depart on Wednesday, June 10, for a long day of traveling until they stop for night in Ogallala, Nebraska. On Thursday evening, the team will arrive at Red Cliff Bible Camp about 45 miles north of Pinedale, where they will be cutting, splitting, and stacking wood, and doing other work projects for the camp.

The days will be long and the work will be hard, but hearts will be changed as we study God’s Word together throughout the 10 days! We’ll be reading through the Gospel of John and also studying through David Platt’s book Follow Me. Pray that each team member would follow and live by the theme verse, Luke 9:32, “And he said to all, ‘If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.'”

Why do we do mission trips? Mission trips help teens, well everyone, step outside their comfort zones and leave the comforts of life at home. It helps us see the bigger picture of what God is doing and helps us rely more directly on God. Many times, teens experience a new hunger for God as a result.

On this trip we’ll get to see Yellowstone National Park, Mount Rushmore, and we’ll take in a church service at Emmanuel Baptist Church.

The team will return on June 20. For mission trip updates, please visit our youth ministries facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Bay-City-Youth-Ministries/349003764077?v=wall
