Because we want to reach the city of Green Bay, and because we want to care for the people of Bay City Baptist, we  have intentionally created opportunities for people to grow in their love for God, their love for others, and their love for God’s Word. These ministries also provide opportunities to serve and minister to others. Our goal will never be to “market the church,” but we do realize that  churches that effectively help people must have an organized structure in place in order to help people glorify God with their lives.

Adult Bible Fellowships (ABFs)

ABFs are one of the best ways to develop relationships, grow spiritually, and get involved in the life of the church. In the ABFs, which meet every Sunday morning at 9:30, we look to grow warmer through fellowship, and deeper through discipleship and Bible study. A variety of age-specific classes are available. There’s a fit for you!

Awana (for children)

Awana is a global, nonprofit ministry committed to the belief that the greatest impact for Christ starts with kids who know, love, and serve Him.

The Awana name stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed,” and comes from 2 Timothy 2:15. The goal of Awana is to teach children who Jesus is, help them to learn the Word of God, and train them to apply the Bible’s teachings to their lives. Awana Clubs are held in several churches in Green Bay and in thousands of other churches around the world.

It is our desire to partner with parents in training children to know, love and serve God. Awana meets every Wednesday evening from 6:30 – 8:00 for children ages 3 through 6th grade (during the school year).

Our not-for-profit bookstore located in the church foyer provides books and materials to help Christians grow in their understanding of God, and of themselves. We want to carry products that help you grow your faith and share it with others. The bookstore is located on the south side of the main church lobby. Stop in to see how we can help you!

Bus Drivers

Bay City Baptist is a busy place with many activities and opportunities ministry. Because we are moving people around often, we need drivers to make it happen. Children are an important part of Bay City Baptist Church. We believe they can and should play a major part in the future of our Green Bay church, and of other churches around the world. Click here to learn more about activities for children.

Christian School

Bay City Christian School has developed a robust, comprehensive educational program that challenges students spiritually, academically, socially, and physically. Our program prepares students for life in the real world by developing the academic skills necessary for a productive life, and by developing critical thinking and intellectual integrity. Click here for our Christian school page.

Counseling Center

We started our Christian counseling ministry in January of 2013 because sometimes life’s difficulties are more than we can handle alone. And we want to help. Click here to go to the Christian Counseling page where you can contact us about free Christian counseling.

Our deacons are in the role of servant-leader, and are a great help to the pastors and the people of our church. Each deacon is given a certain area of ministry to serve, from outside maintenance to transportation to electronics, so that the physical plant of the ministry is well maintained. Click here to go to the Deacons Ministry page.

Deaf Ministry

Bay City Baptist Church’s Deaf Ministry is designed to meet the spiritual needs of deaf and hard of hearing individuals as they grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Sign language interpreting is provided at 9:30 a.m. in our Adult Bible Fellowship for the deaf, and at our 10:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. services.

As part of our desire to communicate the news of Jesus Christ to our local community, our Deaf Ministry also schedules occasional special activities and fellowship opportunities.

Elijah Ministry (prayer)

Intercessory prayer is a Biblical priority. In 1 Timothy 2:1-2, the Apostle Paul states, “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.”

God wants to hear our voice and wants to answer our prayers. And what an honor and privilege to come before Him on behalf of others. The Elijah Ministry gives our members an organized way to pray for church family, staff, our ministries, and others in our community and around the world.

Family. God’s idea. And it’s a good one.

He chose to create small groups of people  who live together in close community with each other. It’s not easy much of the time, but God designed it that way in order to draw our attention back to Him. We desperately need Him in the home.

We want to support and equip parents, including single parents, in their primary roles of nurturing their children’s faith and of training them according to God’s Word. We are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment, godly teachers and solid content appropriate to any kid’s age and stage of life. Click here to visit our Family Ministries page.

Gideons International (Bible printing and distribution)

The Gideons International is an association of Christian business and professional men and their wives dedicated to telling people about Jesus through sharing personally and by providing Bibles and New Testaments.

While they are known worldwide for their work with hotels, they predominantly share Scriptures in schools and colleges, prisons and jails, hospitals, and medical offices. To date, the Gideons have placed 1.9 billion Scriptures. They partner with churches anywhere to reach the unreached everywhere.

Hope Restored

Physical, emotional, and sexual abuse does not discriminate. It crosses cultures, races, religions, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Male and female, young and old, can be victims of abuse. Abuse has profound effects on the physical, emotional, and spiritual life of people. Their ability to trust is often severely impaired, especially when the abuser is a trusted family member or friend.

Hope Restored is our small-group ministry to women who have been affected by any form of abuse. It meets once per month. If you are interested in meeting together, please use the contact form here and your message will be routed through our Counseling Center to the small group leader of Hope Restored.

International Missions

Whether across the street in Green Bay, or across the ocean, the saving power of the Gospel needs to be preached to all people. Our desire, and the LORD’s heart desire, is to reach as many people as possible with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Click here to visit our International Missions page.

Junior Church

At about 11:00 during the Sunday morning worship service, we dismiss children (through second grade) to a service designed for their age. Junior Church gives the opportunity for children to feel like a valued part of the wider church, and to learn about God in a relevant way. This also allows moms and dads to listen to the morning message without distraction.

Junior church runs through second grade. After that, we believe it’s valuable for children to sit with their family throughout the entire morning worship service. (There is no junior church on Sunday nights.)

The Music Ministry is committed to facilitating worship, fellowship, and encouragement through a balanced music program that includes familiar hymns and also some newer songs. We want our services to exalt God and display unity.

Corporate worship in our morning and evening services is enhanced through a variety of means and offers many opportunities for participation. If you sing or play an instrument, we would love to have you join us. Here are some ways you may be use your talents: choir, piano solos and accompaniment, handbells, children’s choir, orchestra, ensembles, solos and more.

Never Alone (for single women and moms)

Being a single woman often means feeling “alone.” Most people don’t understand how hard it can be to be a single woman or a single parent. We understand that sometimes you feel like giving up. That’s a normal reaction. Single moms especially can struggle because they are often trying to do the job of two people.

Never Alone provides single women with helpful encouragement, community, and support for the difficulties of day-to-day life. This small group ministry meets regularly on Sunday mornings after the main worship service. If you are a single woman, we hope you can connect with others here, and that you will feel “never alone.”

We provide two nurseries for services: an infant nursery and a toddler nursery (up through age three). Screened workers care for the children in safe, modern nurseries so that parents can participate in worship services without distraction. You will find these nurseries on the south end of the church foyer. If you come in the main doors to the church (under the canopy), turn to the right after you enter the building and walk past the Bookstore. You can’t miss it.

OutreachIMG_3714 (2)

What could be more important than people knowing their Creator?

Nothing. It’s in knowing Him that all of life begins to make sense, so our church provides opportunities to help people come know God. One of our major outreach opportunities is the annual Neighborhood Picnic held in July. We pass out over 3,000 flyers in the neighborhoods of Green Bay around the church, inviting people to come for free food and activities on our campus. We provide other opportunities, such as missions trips, throughout the year.  Check the church calendar for other coming events. Do you know God? Click here to see how you can know God personally.

Senior Saints

Are you 55 years or older? Then you’re welcome at our Sunday morning ABF and at our special activities. The Senior Saints ministry provides fellowship and ministry opportunities for senior men and women. Click here to read more.

Sunday School

At Bay City Baptist Church, we believe we should play a part in the growth of our children’s faith and understanding of God. Even though “Sunday School” has been around for a long time, we believe it’s still an effective way to teach children about their God. Every Sunday morning at 9:30, we provide classes for children and teenagers geared toward their age. (Adult Bible Fellowships are provided for adults.)

Teens (junior & senior high students)

Our program for students in grades 7-12 is designed to help teens and their families know God and live for Him. We believe that ministry to teens should be home-based and church-supported, not church-based and home-supported. While churches do have a God-given responsibility to teach and minister to the entire body, including its children and teens, they do not have them in adequate blocks of time to do the job alone. Parents will always will be the primary influence in the life of a teenager, so ministry to teens must begin at home. Click here for our student ministry.

Jesse on church lawn in leaves
Jesse is a senior and has been in our church youth group since seventh grade.

The ushers are dedicated to help people into the building and maintain an atmosphere of safety and order before, during, and after each service. Ushers greet new attendees with a smile and provide directions and information as needed. The ushers also provide security and protection for children and others.

Every August we hold a Ministry Fair with the purpose of engaging people in church-wide ministry.
